It is expected to come a greater number of local and foreign travellers to Inlay Region of Shan State this high season, according to Shwe Inntha Tour Services. Hundreds of thousands of local and foreign tourists pay visits to Inlay Region on a yearly basis.
As of last two years, the number of tourists has been down. But, this year’s traveler numbers may be on the rice, said U Kyaw Tun Win, member of Shwe Inntha Tour Services.
“I hope relevant departments will make preparations for improvement of the destination because number
of tourist arrivals was down last two years. So I hope tourist arrivals will increase this year,” said U Kyaw Tun Win.As the majority of people in Myanmar are Buddhists, the airline will have the chance to create link between the two countries, said the oficer in-charge.
Around 1,000 motorboats are giving traveler transport services in Inlay Region. Each boat can carry 10 passengers but seats can be given to ive. Each boat collects K25,000 for transport charge. Local and foreign travellers paying visits to Inlay Region may tour PhaungdawU Pagoda, floating market (Ywama), floating farms,
Alodawpauk Pagoda-lotus thread weaving industries (Thalay-Inpawkhon), Ngaphechaung Monastery or Kyaungkhon Monastery, loating villages, Inn heritages, Mongthauk Thanyawzin Bridge and mid-stream
bungalow in Inlay Region.
